A MOTHER BEING A MOTHER

Five years.
Twelve prototypes.
One stubborn idea.

After five years, twelve prototypes, and countless conversations with parents like you, Little Fierce is finally here: plastic-free kids’ sneakers, independently tested and handmade in Portugal. Designed by a parent who refused to choose between quality and materials she could name.

"If I can't bury it, it doesn't go in the shoe."

I didn't set out to make a non-toxic, sustainable kids' sneaker. I set out to make the best kids' sneaker I possibly could, and when I looked honestly at what that meant, the materials weren't optional.

Most kids' shoes are made primarily from plastic and synthetic materials, which might cause hormone disruption and chemical absorption. When the shoes are outgrown, they typically end up in landfill for a very long time. I wanted to design something different from the ground up.

Every component of the Alpha was chosen on purpose, selected for being natural, plastic-free, and designed with both the children's and the planet's safety in mind.

Yishu, founder · A Parent

I’m a parent who wanted to know what was in my child’s shoes. I couldn’t find the pair I’d feel good about, so I designed it myself and made twelve prototypes before I was happy.

The Family Factory · Made in Porto

Every Alpha is made by hand in a family-run workshop in Porto, with over 30 years of shoemaking behind it. Ana and Augusta, along with six other craftspeople, make every pair.

Two families, same standard: make the shoe you'd want for your own children.

Now they can go to yours.
